Academic Quality

A Track Record of Exceptional Academic Quality

Dr. Anne Rosenthal, Associate Professor of Communication and Rhetoric Studies

Our tenured faculty teach over a third of the classes in the Adult Degree Program – more than other local colleges – and you will never be instructed by a teacher’s assistant. All classes at Oglethorpe are very small and rarely exceed 20 students. Instead of sitting in a crowded lecture hall with 100+ other students, OU students attend classes in cozy classrooms with a small group of peers.  This provides the opportunity for students and faculty to have meaningful discussions about the subject matter. Students often do as much sharing and discussing as they do learning. With classes this small, you won’t be lost in the crowd – your voice will be heard. Students often form personal relationships with their professors and their fellow students that continue even after graduation.
